My name is Jeannie Blankinship. I'm wife to Todd and mom to two teenagers - Emily & Toby. While I have a college degree with a background in social work and child development, I love being at home, caring for my family, volunteering at my kids' school and serving through my local church. This year has brought changes and one is that I have more free time. So I am taking all that I've done and learned over the years to bake and create to share with others to enjoy!
The Lord has blessed me with talents and skills over the years. Throughout my life, generations of women who have poured into my life and taught me - my mom taught me how to cook and passed on basic foundations and methods, ladies at church were not only spiritual mentors but also taught me about things from hospitality to making pudding and pie crusts from scratch and recipes from many ladies including my Mother-in-law. I treasure my great grandmother's rolling pin that made many biscuits in a time when everything was homemade. With being so Blessed by all of this, I felt led to share what I know and can do with others who would love to enjoy home-baked goodness.
This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Service or local health department.
My recipes include eggs, nuts, soy, peanuts, milk and/or wheat. None of my baking includes fish or shellfish, however, at times those items could be found in my kitchen for personal use.
