Salt Dough ornaments are made from a mixture of salt and flour. They are formed in a ceramic mold, then slow baked for over two hours to dry and harden. Baked ornaments are sprayed with a matte polyurethane sealant so paint adheres and doesn't absorb.
All ornaments are hand crafted and pressed into molds, thus there will be some variations such as thickness and shape (such as one snowman I made is a little taller than another that has a wider bottom), but I won't let anything go out the door that is too irregular. Once painted, they are all unique and a work of art!
